Socheon Center for Korean Studies
GOALS
The Center for Korean Studies was established for the purpose of enhancing the capacity of Korean Studies research and expanding the network of scholars in the discipline. The Socheon Center opened in June 2013 with the generous support from Madam Socheon Young hi Park, who has worked for the development of Korean Studies throughout her lifetime. In addition to fostering academic research and hosting colloquiums, the Center held the 12th World Korean Studies Consortium Workshop in June 2016 to promote interaction among the Korean Studies scholars from leading universities worldwide.
The Socheon Center also organizes diverse cultural experience events to give opportunities for foreign students to experience and learn about Korean traditions.
