The Insitute of International Affairs has released the new Pacific Report No. 12.
In this issue, Professor Cho Young-Nam of Seoul National University contributed an article titled 'Assessment and Outlook on China's Situation in 2023 and 2024'.
Professor Cho explains that 2023 was a year of considerable economic concern for China.
Moreover, 2024 will be a new testing case for relations between China and Taiwan.
Professor Cho comments that the current state of Korea-China relations could optimistically be described as a "lull" or at worst as a "latent state of conflict and confrontation."
